We created the concept and design for a new railway station waiting room on behalf of ÖBB. This is to be used throughout Austria, with St. Johann in Tyrol serving as a pilot project. Based on the model of this waiting room, other station waiting rooms have already been realised at various locations such as Zell am See, Feldkirch and Vienna-Meidling.

Open waiting room

Natural materials and warm colors create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. In addition, the mix of a cold stone floor combined with a warm oak panelling and a dark ceiling generate a dignified and distinguished mood. A rhytmic interplay is formed by the grouped arrangement of geometrical forms.

Comfortable wooden niches

The separate waiting area with rubber floor is particularly comfortable. Upholstered wooden niches and wallpaper with a plant look make even longer waits pleasant.
