The design of the two Viennese historic flats was characterised by timeless, modern elegance. What previously appeared rather oppressive and grey now conveys a sense of grandeur and timeless charm.
The flats consist of two separable areas, one of them facing the street and the other facing the courtyard. The goal was to develop a successful, formulated spatial solution while retaining the characteristic Gründerzeithaus elements.
High-quality and functional
A luxurious yet functional interior design stood in focus here.
Subtle colours on the walls and high-quality materials were used to create an elegant and stylish flat that nevertheless appears timeless and classic. By slightly changing the room arrangement, a friendly, bright and open atmosphere was finally achieved.
In the course of the renovation, an enlarged staircase, a wardrobe, a library and more followed. In addition, the bathroom was reorganised and a steam bath was installed. The wall and furniture panelling is the common thread and the connecting architectural element of the two living areas. It also serves as a filter between the living and sanitary areas.
