The Wien Energie Erlebniswelt in Spittelau is an interactive exhibition for the whole family. Here, the topic of energy is made "tangible" within 20 stations and the opportunity is offered to acquire new knowledge in a playful way.

Guidance system as a power network

The route guidance in the exhibition is intuitive and simple: a structured path leads in a kind of loop through the entire exhibition area. The various stations are connected to each other by lines whose design is reminiscent of a power supply circuit. The lines are supplemented with light and text elements.

Ovals break through the strict basic grid

The counselling areas are designed in the shape of an ellipsoid, which are cocoon-like and arranged throughout the rooms. They are slightly separated visually and acoustically with a semi-transparent membrane and thus offer the necessary privacy for counselling sessions. The strictly geometric basic grid of the entire design is broken up and lightened by the oval design elements of the counselling islands.

The dominant colour in all areas is the colour of Wien Energie's corporate identity: orange. Ecological and sustainable materials were used for the most part in this project.
