Usually a wall is a solid structure that defines and sometimes protects an area. Most commonly a wall delineates a building and supports its superstructure, separates space in buildings into rooms and protects or delineates a space in the open air.

In this case the wall - in combination with a canopy - provides shade and shelter and creates a huge landscaped lobby with ramps. The lobby shapes two new spaces: the two entrance boxes for screening and scanning people entering the VIC.

The inner core of the lobby is influenced by two worlds, the national Austrian one and the international world of the VIC. Especially in the restaurant visitors are able to experience the unique atmosphere of this specific interface provided by the interior design.
