The restaurant is part of a bar and restaurant scene which was established below Otto Wagner's Stadtbahn arches in recent years. In contrast to many other restaurants in the area this place does not feature full scale windows towards the highly frequented street, but tries to avert all too blatant insights by shell-shaped upholstered arc segments placed perpendicular to the sightline and presents itself in a mysterious manner to evoke curiousness.
These embedded objects' forms are a subtle reference to subway cars. They define the interior spatially, contribute to pleasant acoustics and contain the lighting systems. By making these elements sliding adaptive spatial configurations and changing appearance could be achieved.
