disco b 16

e.t.-dancing

On B16, the main access roads to Vienna coming from Laxenburg, in a banal industrial area a club is located, which appears in its surroundings as a solitary alien. Like a spaceship that has landed next to the street, opened its hatch and now entwines the masses streaming in.

The discrepancy between its simple volume and the common notion of flying saucers results from the proposition that advanced research and development will lead to distinct, cubic crafts through stringent and continuous simplification.

Glowing hemispheres let the object radiate outward and evoke its particular form and futuristic appeal. Inside, upholstered seats engulf a central dance-floor.
