Ice Age

Design proposal for a glacier museum in the mountains of East Tyrol - Austria.
Söhne & Partner Architects presented a project which should attract guests from all over the world. It is a house in the shape of a glacier tongue just in the midst of the village. Ice and stone dominate the building. Both worlds – the ice world and the stone world are connected through a tunnel - a crystalline structure which symbolises the surrounding glaciers.
